The BHA would also would like to inform you that these events happened in the western part of Indonesia, far from Bali.
There has been no known physical effect from these geological occurrences to the Bali Island. We are confident that Bali remains safe to travel to and spend time in.... BHA
The closet disaster is at Mount Merapi, Gunung Merapi (literally Mountain of Fire in Indonesian/Javanese), is a conical volcano located on the border between Central Java and Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Approx 300km to the Bali coast & 400km to Seminyak.
It is the most active volcano in Indonesia and has erupted regularly since 1548. It is very close to the city of Yogyakarta, and thousands of people live on the flanks of the volcano, with villages as high as 1700 m above sea level.
In recent weeks these villages have been relocated.
Kembali Villas also extends its condolences to the families affected by these disasters |
